A question arises: what about Byzantium and Western Armenia, on the historical territories of which spread Turkey, which arose in the Mountainous Altai, and whose wounds are they? Have you ever thought about it? I would like to say, the wound of the Western Armenia, as is seen from the Istanbul incidents, is still bleeding. More... National Picture Gallery of Photography Being born in the middle of the 19th century, photography played an important role in the development of civilization both as a document and as a unique branch of fine arts. From the 19th and 20th centuries we inherited in family photo-albums or in private collections, the photos of historical events, public or natural phenomenon, moments of everyday life and portraits. And very often they get spoilt because of bad conditions of storage and they take with them not only the memories of our ancestors, but also pages of our history and other important documents. Dear presidents, Serious threats are being created for the future of our region, which are connected with the upbringing of younger generation. What will be the future of the nations in our regions, will they be able to go on equal pace with the development of modern civilization or will they be again in captivity of inter-ethnic conflicts and wars? This all depends on the way how we bring up and teach our children. Will they be tolerant towards each other in the future or will they continue to fight against each other? More... ILHAM ALIEV My book “Secrets of Gandzak (Kirovabad) and Northern Artsakh” published in Moscow in 1998 was sent together with a letter to Your father, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. R.A.Zargaryan, Candidate of Historical Science, Counselor of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Principles and Strategy of the regulation of Karabakh versus Azerbaijan Conflict The final recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) is the shortest way for the regulation of Karabakh versus Azerbaijan conflict, as well as peace-building and stability in the region. The Karabakh problem is solved by the creation of independent Karabakh State, which is the main guarantee of security of Karabakh’s people and maintenance of its rights as well as stability and peace-building in the region. Karabakh state is established and this historical fact is recognized by many states in the world. The final recognition of the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic doesn’t breach the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and doesn’t threaten (endanger) its existence. The principle of territorial integrity is not acceptable to Azerbaijan by many international and legal frameworks. But the most important is that Nagorno-Karabakh de jure was never a part of Azerbaijan. More...
